FAQ

1For whom is permanent make-up?
Almost any healthy person can use permanent make-up to emphasize facial features and achieve a long-lasting effect of grooming. The procedure is intended for both men and women, whose eyebrows have a strong impact on the visual perception of the face. Since conscious consent to the procedure is required, permanent make-up is intended only for adults.
2What is permanent make-up / PMU?
PMU (or permanent make-up) is a method similar to tattooing. The skin is pierced with a sterile needle or a special pointed instrument, and the pigment, i.e. the colouring pigment of the respective shade, which is injected inside the skin. This can be used to colour your lips or emphasize their contours, as well as to cover the skin between the eyebrows' hairs with pigment for a very long time. Nevertheless, it does not mean forever! After a professionally performed procedure, the pigment will fade or pale over time.
3What does the procedure look like?
Health is the most important thing. That is why I always talk to the clients and ask them to fill in a questionnaire before performing the procedure. Certain illnesses, medications, medical procedures as well as pregnancy and breastfeeding are contraindications to the performance of permanent make-up. If everything is OK, we first select the pigment shade, plan the shape of the eyebrows or discuss the desired lip make-up effect. If all the steps are approved by the client, we move on to the procedure. The procedure itself takes around two hours. Together with a questionnaire and a preliminary drawing, the whole process can take around 3 hours. After the procedure, the client should make some proper aftercare steps, which are crucial.
4Is the procedure painful?
During the procedure the skin is pierced, this process can cause pain. Some people feel it more, some feel it less. If the procedure is painful, an anaesthetic cream can be used. If we feel only discomfort, there is no need to use anaesthetics cream. Jeśli odczuwamy tylko dyskomfort i nie ma potrzeby robimy bez znieczulenia.
5How long does the permanent make-up effect last?
The effect lasts up to two years. Over time, the colour fades or changes slightly. Sometimes, in order to achieve a long-lasting and desired effect, it is worth carrying out an additional procedure that replenishes the pigment in the period from one to three months after the first procedure. During the conversation after the treatment, we will choose the best course of action after the first procedure.
6How to prepare for the procedure?
First, be healthy. Take care of a varied diet and water balance in your body. The skin in and around the areas where the procedure is planned should be healthy and free of irritation. If you are planning permanent eyebrow make-up, avoid henna colouring (at least 2 weeks) and eyebrow correction. If the procedure involves lips, make sure you haven’t symptoms of herpes – within three days before the procedure, use medicines against the virus available in pharmacies. You will also apply them for three days after the procedure. In the period before the procedure do not use any new untested cosmetics, do not sunbathe and avoid irritants. For at least 48 hours before the start of the procedure, do not consume alcohol or narcotic drugs, and on the day of the procedure, do not drink coffee and other caffeinated beverages, such as Coca-Cola and energy drinks.
7What should be done after the procedure?
The first hours and days after the procedure should be a period when special care must be taken in the areas where permanent make-up has been applied. Minor redness or swelling may occur. Serous fluids might gently leak from the areas where the procedure was performed. In the first few hours, wash the treatment area gently with a cotton swab soaked in boiled water. Later, for several weeks, you should still be careful not to damage the healing skin and use a special mild protective cream. You will receive tips on choosing the right product during your visit. Proper care will help you quickly get rid of irritation and enjoy your new make-up for longer. All the detailed recommendations are given below. You will also hear them after the procedure.
8What should be done if "something goes wrong" after the procedure?
Some symptoms, such as redness, slight swelling, skin irritation, always occur after the procedure and gradually disappear due to the healing process. However, if pain, rashes, new swelling or any other unpleasant body reactions only increase, you should visit your doctor. If something bothers you, you can always contact me as well. You should remember that permanent make-up is a form of intervention in our body and there is a small risk of complications. During the decision-making process about the permanent make-up, you should remember about it.
9After doing permanent make-up, my eyebrows look too dark. How could I fix it?
Within a few weeks after the procedure, there is a gradual change in the colour of the eyebrows. Immediately after the procedure, the eyebrows look very dark, but that shouldn’t bother you. What we see is basically a scab consisting of plasma, blood and pigment which oxidizes. Only after about 45 days, after the removal of the scab and the deposition of pigment, we can see the final colour of the eyebrows.
10My lip colour after the procedure looked different from what I expected. How could I fix it?
The situation looks like with the intensity of the eyebrow make-up. The colour of the pigment that is injected into the mouth tissues area during the first weeks after the procedure differs slightly from how it will look in the end. Initially, the colour appears more intense; it may also have a slightly different hue. Later, naturally, there is a gradual change. And that shouldn't bother you. Firstly, the appearance of the lips is also affected by a scab. Only after about 45 days, after the removal of the scab and the deposition of the pigment, we can see the final colour of the lips.

Avoid infections!
